About Schlok’s Bagels & Lox
Bagels • Coffee • Sandwiches • Smoked Salmon • Catering. Our bagels are cold-proofed overnight, then boiled and baked on wooden bagel boards in a revolving tray oven. They are dense but fluffy. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time at this location, ordered the new salad with dill lox, a cookie to go, and used the app for $10 off. Salad was fresh, tasty, and healthy size, big enough for two. I like the options to for mods and light dressing. Their bagels are too notch, especially the salt, and always enjoy signature spreads with a ton of lox or scallions. Proper egg and cheese sandwiches on a bagel too.

Never had a bagel sandwich before and this was a good first try. The sandwich is very customizable and very filling. It’s probably best to eat outside from this location. Also slightly expensive for what you would think a bagel sandwich costs.

Best bagels in SF imho, and we have many fine options for them presently. I love the everything and the onion, and the specialty ones — chipotle everything, why not!? — the crust and chew balance is really exceptional and the flavors and generous toppings are a joy. Lots of good cream cheese configurations, I like the plain and the garlic, and the smoked salmon (not the gravelox which is a little much). Also- the sandwich creations are well worth a try! Great location and atmosphere, I am not a huge fan of the self-order digital kiosks tho

Awesome location and one of the best bagel experience I've had in a long time. The bagels are everything you want - perfectly chewy and good size that kept me full for half the day. You can tell they're made with real care. One thing I appreciated was the self-service kiosk option. It makes the whole process super smooth - no pressure, no rush, easy to customize, just how I like it. This spot stands out and will be a regular stop for me.

A nice addition to the Financial District. The bagel I got (a salmon, cream cheese, scallion option called the “Smoked Ends,” which they describe as perfect for salt lovers) was good, although I ordered it fully toasted and it could have sat in the toaster longer for my liking. It also had a strong lemon taste I’m not really into. They have a lot to choose from including brisket and egg options. The schtick is you order at a terminal (which was clean and easy to navigate) and then they call your order out when it’s ready (or text you if you provide a number.) Plenty of seating and a lot of staff working behind the counter to make things. The guy who handed me my bagel was curt and I wished he had offered me some napkins because I soon came to find I really needed them as I walked and ate my bagel! This was technically a soft launch, I think, so I’ll give them time to work out some kinks.
